For my observations off campus, I chose to look at Ruby Tuesdays. Ruby Tuesdays is located in Bloomsburg so I figured I would get some of the college students but I would also get some of the other people that are not associated with the University. As you first walked in a hostess greeted you with a smile and a nice welcome. She then asked how many were in your party and then sat you accordingly. One thing I noticed that other restaurants do not do is when the hostess seats you, she says that she will be at the front if you need anything. Most restaurants the hostess just seats you and then hands you off to the waitor or waitress. There were booths and tables with different amount of seats by the windows or by the bar. The waitors/waitresses seemed to have quick service and there seemed to be no problems when I was there. The menu seemed to have a pretty wide selection and it was neatly organized by category. There was not an overloaded menu but not too small of a selection either. As I watched people eat, I noticed that if people has the option they had always sat there back to a wall or another table. Most people liked to sit facing the door or the window. My reaction to this would be that people always like to have something to look at, whether it be the people coming in to eat or the people walking outside to their cars.
